I am Dav Mahet, I am the Managing Director and Solicitor at TML Solicitors.

Over the last two decades, I have gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in the legal sector. Prior to setting up my own practice, I have worked in a corporate law firm as well as a specialist niche law firm covering areas of work such as Criminal Defence, Motoring & Road Traffic Law, Family Law and Prison Law. I proudly achieved runner-up in the Leicestershire Law Society 2012 Young Solicitor Award.  I have also been nominated for the Law Society Senior Solicitor of the Year Award and we await the results.

I am a regular advocate before the Magistrates and Youth Courts, dealing with all matters from plea hearings, bail applications to trials and sentence hearings in criminal proceedings. Furthermore, I am accredited to advise and assist clients who have either been arrested at the police station or have been asked to attend a voluntary interview under caution. I specialise in preparing Home Office Immigration applications and appear before the Immigration Courts. Throughout my career, I have become proficient in drafting Wills and the complexities of Probate.

I am also heavily involved in working within the residential and commercial property departments, helping to ensure along with the other members of the team that we provide a seamless service to make property transactions as smooth as possible.

I take an active role in the community as I was a committee member of the Midlands Association of Asian Lawyers (MALA) and a founding member of the Punjab Society in Leicester. In my spare time, I continue to raise money for charity as I have taken part in the Great North Run for Cancer Research, Diabetes UK and the NSPCC, as well as sponsoring local events where the proceeds go to charity.
