My name is Reena Bhalla and I am a Director of TML Solicitors.

I joined TML Solicitors in 2017 as a Solicitor in the Conveyancing and Commercial Property departments. I qualified as a Solicitor in 2011 having completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Northumbria in Newcastle upon Tyne. I have over 15 years of property experience.

I am the Head of the Conveyancing and Commercial Property departments and have extensive experience in working in both of these areas.

My work in terms of commercial property involves acting for both corporate and individual clients.  I specialise in both freehold and leasehold matters, plots of land, refinance, Leases, acting on behalf of lenders, the acquisition and disposal of commercial property which includes dealing with complex property portfolios, and the sale and purchases of businesses.

I also have a wealth of experience in dealing with various residential property matters.  These include buying and selling both freehold and leasehold residential properties, remortgages, transfer of equity, Help to Buy transactions, unregistered land, acting on behalf of first-time buyers, new builds and shared ownership transactions.

My experience involves dealing with a range of complex transactions for individuals as well as businesses.  I have acted on behalf of a range of lenders, and I have vast experience in dealing with multi-million-pound high-value commercial purchases and disposals together with refinances.  I have also handled many lending structures such as those involving pension schemes.

I have contributed significantly towards TML Solicitors obtaining both the Conveyancing Quality Mark (CQS is the Law Society’s quality standard for residential conveyancing practices) and Lexcel Accreditation (Lexcel is the Law Society’s standard for excellence in practice management and client care).

I have a professional manner in dealing with all matters and I am excellent at communicating complex legal issues to our clients in a manner which they will understand.  I am forward-thinking and progressive in my approach.

In 2019, I was proudly shortlisted for the East Midlands Women’s Awards for Outstanding Woman in Professional Services.

Outside of law, I enjoy reading, cooking, going to the gym, and spending time with my family.
